..and here's me thinkin' Robin was really like that, wtf? lmao!...do we not think if he was...that everytime you saw him he'd have a split face, his arrogance always makes me chuckle' it's so off the planet, as for the girly, she was obviously somewhat odd!

Anybody else ever get to see Mother Love Bone live? I swear to God, I have never seen such an arrogant guy on a stage as Andrew Wood was! PURE cockiness all over the place! I loved the band and the music, but by the end of the show I was ready to scream and rush the stage he was so fucking cocky!
Then after the show, I was hanging out with them, and I was really mainly talking to Bruce Fairweather, the guitarist. Andrew had long vanished from the bunch of us. Bruce was telling me about how Andrew is actually the sweetest guy in the world, and had no ego at all. He spent a long time putting his little act together on stage, and busted his butt to come up with the most arrogant stuff to say. And it all worked for them, as in no time after that, they were being expected to be the biggest band in the world, and Wood being a MAJOR reason for all the hype. But we all know what happened. Wood died, the Apple album came out to rave reviews, but almost no push from the company, and the rest of the guys did indeed go on to become one of the biggest bands in the history of music.
So yeah, Robin may be acting, but that was still a stupid comment, and that type of arrogance and shtick will hurt him. Arrogance is loved, but being rude will not be tolerated by the masses until he can place himself into the Axl importance role.

[B]<font size=2 color=crimson>If Robin continues on this path,he'll likely get Danzigged one day http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/icons/icon17.gif<font size=2 color=crimson>Ha ha I found a three year old post on a site..This guy shares my opinion..LoL
[B]<font size=2 color=black>"Yeah, I just got back from Robin Black and the Intergalactic Rock Stars show. I gotta say, the opening band the Cheerleaders were great. The staff, the venue—the Jupiter Room—they’re great. But Robin Black? What a total bullshit artist. Man, half an hour set for $7? My friend paid $12 to get the CD. Not worth it. Next time I’m saving my money for Montreal rock ’n’ roll ’cuz that’s where it’s at."
[B]<font size=2 color=crimson>They still do a half hour set for $7

I guess you got your money's worth then Markii!
7 Canadian dollars equates to about 3 UK pounds. About the price of a beer in a venue, and that ain't gonna last half hour.

[B]<font size=2 color=crimson>Maybe thatz part of the problem...instead of having a few "lite" beers, I shoulda pounded down a few sturdier beers to dull my senses<img src="http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/icons/icon17.gif"
-
Well that was your first mistake! Why on earth would anyone ever put themselves through the horrors that lie within a serving of "lite beer"???

Carl....yeah, I saw MLB. It was so many years ago, that I don't remember what type of stage banter he used, but I do remember his stage presence was spectacular. That's why MLB shows in Seattle were not to be missed. He had the whole town in the palm of his hand. He called himself "L'Andrew the Love Child", and of course he called his brand of music "Love Rock".
As far as I knew though, he was a pretty cool guy off stage.
As for Robin Black...I haven't seem him live, but I'd go check it out if he came around here. I really dig the cd. So Sick of You and More Effeminate than You are awesome tunes. Who really cares what he said on stage.

"chat to him off stage n' he's a really nice guy"
